Imagine if all your nerd dreams came true and you lived in a world where Bill & Ted went to high school with the Breakfast Club, or Dave Lister and the Doctor shared a meal in the local Galaxy’s Rudy T’s. How cool would that be?!
Welcome to the wonderful mind of Sam Gilbey, and his amazing eye for the nerdy details. Conquering movie posters and sci-fi TV shows from Spaced to Stranger Things, his artworks are inspirational, not to mention pretty easy on the eye.
I love his series, ‘In the Crowd’ (a commission, and so sadly not for sale folks), and lost track of time trying to identify all the sci-fi and 80s film icons packed into each one. Sam has a very cool style, and I’m quite jealous that he got to meet Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg to present them with his official ‘Cornetto’ series. Over the years Sam has worked with a huge range of enviable clients from Marvel to Monty Python, and is represented by the Central Illustration Agency.
