"It’s an odd thing to wake and not know where you are. Having to try and piece together how you got there, why you might be there, what may have happened to get you there, and even though I knew all these things, waking to find myself  firmly secured to a hospital bed, captive beneath its white, neatly tucked sheets, still gave me a strange, trapped animal like feeling..."
